Environmental wells is a nascent concept within surface and celestial engineering that is the use of hollow topologies that can be used to maintain an environment separated from its near vicinity, e.g. in space.

An example is the use of spin around some focal point to apply outward force which is maintain environment in a beaker-like structure.

An example is the use of an existing gravitational well to maintain an environment in a suspended beaker-like structure.
